[ it's been years since he's seen Deku's mother, but it's not strange seeing her again. She still has the same open and inviting eyes that he remembers from when he was younger, and still sees in Deku's eyes all the time.
She doesn't look entirely surprised to see him either, but he can't quite figure out the look on her face either. It's like she knows somehow. But what does she know? Bakugou can barely figure the situation out himself. He's just here, taking care of Deku- and her.
He doesn't promise her that he'll take care of her son, but it's close enough and he looks a little put out when she thanks him and tells hm what a fine man he's turned into. There's some praise he eats up readily and then there's some that he still isn't quite sure how to deal with. It's embarrassing,
but- it's also a relief that this is how she sees him and not how Bakugou had imagined she'd see him after everything he's done.
He stays with her for a while, helping her with some morning exercises and then tells her he'll be back later tonight. It's not like he's gonna go home after work- well, aside from grabbing some of his things to bring over here. It would probably be easier just to stay, if he's going to be helping out.
He'll have to ask Deku of course, but... after last night's confessions, he doubts it'll be anything but a yes.
Last night's confessions. Shit.
He puts that aside for now (Can he put aside forever??) and gets to cooking up some easy meals before heading off to work.
When Deku comes into the kitchen he'll find it clean, with a note on the counter:
D,
I didn't want to wake you before I left for work, you were fast asleep and drooling all over the place. Had breakfast with your mom and gave her meds. We did some phys. therapy and she seems to be doing pretty well this morning.
Made some food for lunch for both of you for a couple of days. it's on the tops shelf of the fridge, just heat it up- i followed all the dietary restrictions and labeled everything. there's also soup and dumplings from last night, but we can have that for dinner if you want.
I'll be back after work. DON'T YOU FUCKING DARE COME IN, JUST CALL THE AGENCY AND APPROVE THE SHIFT CHANGES AND THEN GET SOME GODDAMN REST YOU IDIOT! YOU BETTER BE SITTING IN FRONT OF THE TV BEING A LAZY LITTLE SHIT BY THE TIME I GET BACK.
